دکتر مرتضی مدرس غروی

For about twenty-one years of continuous professional experience during and after my PhD in clinical

psychology, I have been involved deeply in planning and conducting various forms of psychotherapy,

individually and in groups, and also planning mental health interventions in different settings, such in the context

of the University, psychiatric Hospital, and community-based mental health. I established the Department of

Clinical Psychology in 2012 at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and took charge of its direction. I found

the Mashhad branch of the Freudian Group of Tehran Group in 2010 and now it has about 60 active members of

psychologists and psychiatrists who are actively involved in a coherent training structure.

• Becoming a candidate in psychoanalysis at the William Alanson White Institute has been one of the most

influential events in my professional life since 2019, and it continues to do so.

• I am also been a member of the Psychosocial Network (GPN) since 2019, which includes a group of leading

mental health professionals from around the world who share their experiences of psychosocial crisis and

traumas around the world.

• I have been also an affiliate member of the Indian Psychoanalytic Society since 2018.

• I am a member of The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP).
